 Community Dentist Near Falkirk

Linsey, our Business Manager at Tryst Dental, was a former football player for Scotland at under 16 level.  She spent time coaching women’s football in USA and knew she wanted to incorporate her business experience with her passion to get us all healthier through sport.

Jamie Kirk, the Director of Community at Stenhousemuir Football Club, had been trying to set up a Walking Football Programme for the over 50s but had struggled with finance. Linsey worked with Jamie and Tryst Dental offered funding to enable this to happen.

They now run multiple classes each week, for both men and women, which helps the participants both socially and with exercise. They are now taking part in tournaments and have even been invited to play at Manchester City.

The team are also working with Tryst Community Sports Club and the British Heart Foundation to provide free to attend CPR training sessions to raise awareness of the “Call; Push; Rescue” campaign as well as providing information on local events and services.

Linsey’s links within the community have already won her The Community Award at the Scottish Dental Awards which saw her presented with the prized trophy in May 2015 at the awards ceremony in Glasgow.  The team were proud to add to this at the Dentistry Scotland Awards in November 2016 where their efforts were recognised with the “Best Charity or Community Project” award.

These projects show Tryst’s commitment to the community to improve not only the dental health but also the general health of all around Stenhousemuir, Falkirk.
